A meta-analysis of over 30 million participants showed that brisk walking for 11 minutes per day could lower the risk of death from all causes by 15.7%, plus prevent 1 in 10 premature deaths. Isn’t that amazing! Now, 11 minutes isn’t much – most people can do this! And if you do it twice per day, you’ll meet the minimum daily physical activity recommendations for public health. Exercising outdoors has extra benefits including sunshine, fresh air, and nature scenes. It’s also worth doing stretching and resistance activities, especially as you get older.
