Here are some ways you can keep active in body, mind and spirit. For your body, look for ways to move more in your everyday life. Try slipping in a ten minute walk or a few extra steps here and there. Aim for 30 minutes of physical activity daily. Stretching and resistance exercises are also important, especially as you get older. Activity for the Mind means anything that engages you where you are learning, developing skills, gaining knowledge, being creative, experiencing something new. Hobbies puzzles, art, travel, study music all of these fit into this. As you do this, your brain grows as we'll be on and ready for action. What about activity for the spirit? Practice looking to the positive or try doing a random act of kindness for someone. It will lift your mood, boost your energy, help your health and lengthen your life.
